The goals of HABio, according to its New statutes (February 2019), are:
- Promotion of anaerobic digestion of all kinds of renewable organic matter for the production of biogas and fertilizer in a sustainable manner.
- Promotion of gasification of all kinds of organic matter for the production of gaseous fuels in a sustainable manner.
- Promotion of usage of biogas, biomethane, fertilizers and other products derived from the anaerobic digestion and the gasification.
- Promotion of the research, design, construction and operation of biogas, biomethane and fertilizer plants.
The activities and means for achieving those goals are stipulated in the Statutes
